The North Side

It’s the Tremblant region’s best kept secret! The Versant nord is set amidst luxuriant nature and beside a magnificent lake, away from the bustle of Mont Tremblant Ski Village and yet only a few minutes from Tremblant’s north side skiing and a range of local attractions.

North Side ski trails and its installations are also part of the secret! Parking is easy at the Versant nord Lodge La Fourchette du Diable, where a cafeteria, boutique and ski rental are open during the ski season and two chairlifts provide access to the trails and the summit of Mt Tremblant. It is the preferred access for the mountain regulars!

Lake Supérieur, located at 6 minutes from La Fourchette du Diable, is well named. The surrounding nature and mountains give the lake an air of grandeur in all seasons. It is a magical place to swim, canoe, kayak or paddleboard. Small boats are only the vessels allowed.

Tremblant’s North Side also gives an easy access to the Parc national du Mont-Tremblant. Covering 1510 km2, the park represents 20% of Québec’s protected areas. With its majestic landscapes, six big rivers and dramatic waterfalls, 400 lakes, numerous creeks, Laurentides mountain range, 40 mammal species, all kinds of birds…visitors dive into the heart of a wild and wonderful playground. All kinds of activities are available for outdoor lovers, throughout all seasons: swimming, fishing, biking, trekking, cross country skiing, nordic ski, rock climbing etc.

Another popular attraction is La Grande Boucle de Tremblant (GBT) (Tremblant’s’Grand Circuit Trail’). This is a project to create a multiple-use 88 km four-seasons trail for non-motorized sports. La Grande Boucle is 70% finished, and already connects is intented to join many existing networks (Ski de fond Mont-Tremblant et Domaine Saint-Bernard, Lac Supérieur, Parc National du Mont-Tremblant, Inter-Centre and l’UQAM, Station de ski Mont-Tremblant). When complete, GBT will give access to 320 kms of trails for both summer and winter activities.

For mountain or road bike enthusiasts, the Tremblant region offers breath-taking scope. Vélo Mont-Tremblant suggests a great variety of routes for all levels and all distances.
